Kovi REST API — API Key Authentication with Bearer

Every Kovi REST API request must include your API key as a Bearer token in the Authorization header. You can find and manage your API keys in the Techeval dashboard.

Authorization Header Format

Include the following header in every request you make to the API:

Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY

Replace YOUR_API_KEY with the key you copied from the Techeval dashboard.

Example Request

The following example shows a complete authenticated request to schedule an interview:

Getting Your API Key

Follow these steps to retrieve your API key from the Techeval dashboard:

Log in to your account at techeval.ai.
Navigate to Settings in the left sidebar.
Click API Keys.
Copy your key and store it securely.

If you have not yet signed up, new accounts receive 10 free credits upon registration.

Error Responses

If your request is missing a key or uses an invalid one, the API returns one of the following errors:

HTTP Status	Error	Cause
`401`	`unauthorized`	Missing or invalid API key
`403`	`forbidden`	API key lacks permission for this resource

Never expose your API key in client-side code or public repositories. If your key is compromised, rotate it immediately from the Settings → API Keys page in the Techeval dashboard.
